I LOVE taking pictures and always have. Ever since I was small, with my Kodak Instamatic, I’ve been
snapping pictures. I am that irritating family member or friend that comes to every function with a camera
in hand. My children have endured a lifetime of being photographed. Their entire lives are chronicled in every
detail in volumes of photo albums. In 2011, with our daughters growing older, I felt it was time to take my “hobby" to the next level…thus ‘Lindstedt Portrait Photography’ was born.
I love taking pictures of sleeping babies, vibrant children, promising graduates and loving families. I enjoy capturing the relationships between couples and families…the warmth, the joy, the humor that binds us.
I am much happier behind the camera than in front of it. It is with this insight that I recognize the importance of putting you at ease. I’m not in a rush. I take time to get a variety of pictures for you to choose from and allow you time to get comfortable.
I have gained experience taking team and activity photos at high school sporting events and Special Olympics. I learned about technique and composition through my involvement with the North Metro Photo Club. It was through this club that I was able to participate and win 3rd place in the best of 2009 N4C competition, an organization of about 40 camera clubs in the North Central States.

I generally take outdoor photos and am happy to make suggestions for locations, but in the end, you choose. I have a home studio in Columbia Heights, Minnesota; but I can set up my studio in your home if preferred.
My prices are reasonable. Rather than sell you high priced prints, you can purchase your photo CD or add on the purchase of a photo book(s) with your best photos.
I aim to please. The photo session is about you, not me. I want to know your preferences....urban vs. rural, formal vs. candid.
Ways to save money:
· Combine a session with a friend and each of you will receive a discount off your individual session fees. Great for Senior photos. This saves money and you get some “buddy” shots as well.
· Refer me to a friend and receive a coupon toward your next photo session.
Let me capture your corporate event or important family celebrations so you can relax and enjoy.
Fundraising event, corporate picnic, family reunion, wedding anniversary, baby shower, baptism, first communion, confirmation, quinceanera, bar mitzvah, birthday party, graduation, wedding shower, retirement party, etc.

”I used Lindstedt Portrait Photography for my daughter's senior pictures. I had done both of my older childrens' senior photos at a studio and wanted a better quality session with outdoor shots for my youngest. I was not disappointed! Not only did Michelle do a great job, but she allowed my daughter to change her outfit 5 times. We did the shoot at Minnehaha Falls Park and there were so many fantastic pictures that I could not decide what was "the" senior pic. We ended up with about 80 favorites. The best part? I actually ended up spending LESS than what I did at the studios”.

When looking for a photographer, we wanted someone that we could be comfortable with (especially considering how non-PDA we are in public), that we could have with us for most of the day, and that fit our budget. We got all that with Michelle and more! We got married at the Lumber Exchange, which is a beautiful building but we didn’t realize how difficult the lighting would be for a photographer. And Michelle made it work for her. The pictures turned out beautifully, and we could not be happier. We’re a pretty goofy couple, and Michelle caught that perfectly. Some of our favorite pictures were the ones that we didn’t have planned, the ones where she captured a laugh or a funny face, and it’s so us. And the ones that we did have planned and Pinterest-perfect. She also had the difficulty of photographing a choreographed first dance. You would think that she had the dance memorized with the perfectly timed shots that she got, when in reality she only saw it once. In the end, we would recommend Michelle to anyone looking for a photographer. We were beyond happy. The only problem was having too many good pictures to choose from for our wedding album.

Michelle was such a joy to work with for our engagement and wedding photos. She was determined and helped make the pictures feel genuine. On the wedding day, Michelle and her crew helped make the day run smooth and had a list of what pictures we wanted and made sure those pictures were taken. Throughout the day all three helped with timing, but were also up for small changes that we made. They were extremely flexible and were smiling and laughing the whole day with us. I know in the future when we need professional photographs taken of our family, we will call Michelle. The quality and quantity of photographs we received will last more than a lifetime.

"Michelle's relaxed & personable manner compliments her artistic vision & her desire to please! She strives for quality, variety & a unique element that ensures the photo session is tailored to the person & not just a generic, rotating set of backdrops and poses. Michelle went above and beyond for our daughter's Senior Photos, as well as our family photo. She is a true professional who works hard to deliver customer satisfaction with a polished final product that is delivered in a timely manner."

“Oh the dreaded Senior Picture….this is such a challenging time, especially for a boy. My son, Dane, came to his photo shoot date with Michelle, dragging his heels the whole way. I was thinking that this was going to be one long day and if we survived and got just one good photo, it would be a successful day. Well…it certainly did not take long for Michelle to win over this reluctant model, pretty soon he was providing input on places and poses….what a relief. Before we knew it we were hurrying to get one more shot before the sun went down. It was a long day but not because it was dreadful for Dane but because Michelle had scheduled the entire day for us to make sure that we had all the time needed to get the shots to make the perfect senior picture. Michelle is creative with her ideas, location and poses and wide open to suggestions. And only knowing Dane for a short time, she was able to capture the essence of who he is in a picture. She provided us so many wonderful photos that we had a hard time selecting just one for the year book. I would highly recommend Michelle; she made a day that we were regretting a most enjoyable, memorable experience with all the proof in the photos”.

“Michelle is amazing and so very talented at what she does. For both our maternity photos and our newborn photos she came to us without hesitation. Her ideas and creativity were beyond anything I had ever seen with photography and her warmth and confidence put us at ease. She listened to our ideas and was able to far exceed our expectations. She was able to get my colicky newborn to sit still and look relaxed in a matter of minutes… it was magical! Michelle and her daughter patiently sat through 5 nursing sessions during the 3 hours she was with us….talk about patience! After seeing the photos I can confidently say Michelle was given the gift of photography and is able to capture such emotion in the photos! The photos brought tears to many eyes and will forever be a beautiful memory captured. Michelle, you and your daughter were so fun to work with and we look forward to working with you again soon”!!!

“Michelle did a wonderful job taking pictures of me and my dog. She brought lots of ideas for both candid and posed shots, but she was very willing to try things I suggested as well. The whole process was fun and easy, and the results were beautiful. I will cherish these photos forever”.
